A forum celebrating books – lots of reviews, the lowdown on what’s new & hot, including new authors, bestsellers and everything in between, everything books!

I am often asked how I determine which books I am going to read and review. I get most of the catalogs from the major publishers and request review copies of books I have an interest in reading, and there are many of interest. I read several review sources on a regular basis.

I will read just about anything I can get my hands on, with the emphasis on fiction, forensics and true crime. I have a great deal of respect and a love for new authors, mostly because when I find an author I like, I tend to read everything they have ever written, which more or less forces me to find new authors.  Currently I am attending graduate school at ETSU working towards becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner and for the next 2 years I will be relying on some of our valuable reviewers to provide the majority of reviews.  I will continue to review as well, just not as often as I would otherwise like as I will be busy studying and reading nursing texts.  Currently I have a stack of to be read that I just am dying to read, finding the time to devote is another quest in itself.

Also note that I will be trying to post the reviews sent in by our reviewers within a few days of receipt of reviews.  I will also try to keep the site updated as quickly as possible so please check back often for updates and changes.  I hope you enjoy the site.

Crime fiction comprises probably half of my reading time and is my guilty pleasure, but I also read chick-lit, contemporary fiction, tons of forensics, erotica, memoirs, compelling non-fiction, and works of horror, fantasy and sci-fi.

I am a voracious reader, and read several books each week. I even am a member of many of the book clubs.

I enjoy reading books, reviewing books, & promoting authors – especially new authors.

Hi Terry

I’m writing to say a big thank you for taking the time to read and
review my book, THE STRANGELING. I was delighted with your
comments, it totally made my day! That was my first fantasy novel
and I feel immensely encouraged by your responses.

Thanks again

Subject: Thank you

Dear All:

I wanted to drop a short note of appreciation to Reader Views and Terry South for reviewing my western/romance/adventure novel, Calico.

I commend you for looking beyond the protagonist’s sexual orientation to the simple fact that it is indeed “a good read.”
More and more mainstream readers, to whom I am eager to reach out, are learning that a good story well told is far more important than who sleeps with whom. I appreciate your assistance in this effort.

Again, thank you.

Thank you so much for your review and your kind words. I was not shocked to hear that there were still some errors in the book, even though I spent untold hours editing it. It’s not easy to catch your own mistakes. Is it okay if I use an excerpt from your review on my site? I offer “Bicycle Shop Murder” free to read on my site and I offer it as a free eBook. And I have a page of reader comments.

Thanks again! I really appreciate it!

Terry, your words make me feel so good. I love that book. I cried (and laughed) the whole time I was writing it. I have re-read it from time to time, and it always makes me cry. Yet, I think it’s a story about hope. Well, anyway, this was just to tell you thank you a million for your words!!!

Terry, thanks again! I really like the look of your blog on blogspot.com. You’ve done a really great job. Thanks for all you do for writers and readers.

Hi Terry,

Thank YOU for the kind review… and for the service you are providing new authors. It’s tough trying to get reviewed when you’re virtually unknown, and every review helps.

Thanks again!

Terry South,

Thanks for reviewing Acacia. I appreciate your kinds words and I’ll work to make sure the next book continues the story in as high a style as possible.

Hi Terry

Good news, Unveiling the Sorceress should be going to print in a
couple of weeks. Send me your postal address and I’ll make sure you
receive a print copy.

I’m working on the interview and will get it back to you tomorrow.
I’ve chosen about half the questions, some of them I have quite long
answers for so I thought that was best. Great variety of questions!

Back to you soon.
