Looking to entertain your guest with “organic cocktails”, if so, you have got to try these wonderful drinks. Pure, natural, organic cocktails, creative drinks that use organic, natural spirits and mixers. This book has opened my eyes to a whole new way of creating beautiful and very tasty drinks. The author begins by introducing us to producers of organic vodka, tequila, gin, and many other spirits. He provides us with tips to set up your own green bar, while providing other tips on how to techniques, the ingredients and equipment needed. The beautifully delicious color photos will leave your mouth watering for more. The book is loaded with wonderful recipes. Most of the recipes involve an organic simple syrup and the author has provided the recipe for making the organic simple syrup. My favorite section is the lush and fruity, from the watermelon aguafresca, the blackberry mojito, the kiwi envy, to the voluptuous. The next favorite section is entitled “from the garden” coming up roses (uses fresh organic rose petals and organic rose water) to the spiked blueberry-thyme lemonade. Who am I kidding, I love each and every section, and I am going to enjoy making all these drinks. Every summer we love having friends over for drinks around the pool, this year I will be able to knock their socks off with some of these green friendly “beautiful and delicious drinks”. The watermelon cooler and frozen berry bellini – yum-yum.
I was so excited and pleased when I received this book, I immediately opened and began reading; interesting and superbly done. The photographs, by New York food photographer Jerry Errico, are beautiful works of art. The best I can say is that I am in love with this book and plan on trying each and everyone of these drinks. This would make a great Christmas gift! Enjoy! Tis the season to be Jolly!!!
