I found this book to be very interesting, as it constantly changed from one point of view to another. This book was easy to read and also reflects many emotions, I’m sure this author spoke with many enlisted men to obtain these various different views and emotions. I completely devoured this book, the “GHOSTS” in this book haunted me to where I found myself getting up in the middle of the night to read more!! Who’s to say this doesn’t really happen, not me. As I have lost many loved one’s, I would like to think at some point , they are watching over me and helping me along the way. The character in this book, Sampson, pulled at my heart strings. Upon returning from Iraq he was only a shell of himself, his life would be changed forever, as I am sure many are in real life after their experiences in the sand. I highly recommend this book, I give it 4 stars.
