    Mesmerizing Christmas Story!

    A Nutty Nutcracker Christmas

By: Ralph Covert, G. Riley Mills, Wilson Swain

    Category: Book , Picture storybooks

Ralph Covert and G. Reilly Mills have penned a remarkable tale of adventure, heroism and a very creative read that your child will adore.  They’ve also crafted a beautiful, mystical method to explain exactly how toys become toys before ending up in Santa’s big red bag; your child’s eyes will light up. After reading this to my grandson, he said “read it again, please”.  He had me read it to him 4 times before giving it a rest for the night, after reading; he flipped through the pages till time for bed.  A Nutty Nutcracker Christmas is an instant holiday favorite and is a classic to be cherished.

Wilson Swain’s illustrations fill each page, which will mesmerize your child and have them dreaming of A Nutty Nutcracker Christmas.  This little treasure is a must for all parents and grandparents. M

A Beautiful work of art to feast your eyes on

    Venezia: Food and Dreams

Venezia: Food and Dreams.  While Venezia contains a number of uniquely delicious recipes, it cannot be called cookbook but perhaps more appropriately referred to as a work of art. It is among the most beautiful books I’ve seen with a flower and food decorating the cover which is so inviting it also comes with a black velvet ribbon bookmark.

The dedication page reads, “For Venice – may you stand strong and beautiful forever.” The full-color,page filled photographs by Manos Charzikonstantis are spectacular. I absolutely love this beautiful work of art! The pages are beautiful works and this is a book to treasure as well as dream about.  Now I want to go to Venice!

    A children’s delightful tale

How Noah Knew What To Do
    Author: Karen Moore
    Illustrations by Pete Kerston

How Noah Knew What To Do is a wonderfully written children’s book by Karen Moore with bright vivid colorful illustrations by Pete Kerston. It is the story of Noah, which is easily understandable, as well as sensible biblical life lesson geared for toddlers and younger children. The story is written in rhyme which my grandson absolutely loved, it is also an easy ready. This children’s book can be enjoyed by the entire family, or may be enjoyed from the younger child that is reading on their own. Between the rhyming of words and the beautiful illustrations your child will be delighted with this one.

True crime thriller will keep you on edge

    Mafia Son

Mafia Son, is the story that gained national notoriety in 2007 as a result of former FBI agent Lin DeVecchio’s sensational murder trial, in which Sandra Harmon testified, this is an unforgettable tale of violence, wealth, and sex, set in a world where a man’s word is both everything and nothing. This is a true crime thriller, Sandra Harmon has written a psychological portrait of a man who changed paths and went to the right path and ended up paying the price for his choice.  A story of one of the most notorious families in the history of organized crime, this story is fast paced and will keep the reader on the edge of their seat.  In my opinion this was a great read and would recommend to anyone who is into true crime novels.  This is one you will not be able to put down.

    Blood Safari by Deon Meyer

Deon Meyer lives in Melkbosstrand on the South African West Coast with his wife and four children. He has written five novels, this being the first that I have read.  This is a fast paced thriller which is the unfolding story of South Africa in the past and present. This story tells the story of the land of Africa, the slaughtering of animals out of pure greed.  Meyer creates vivid scenes through environmental description, describing the local settings, the animals, as well as the racial interactions of South Africa’s people/population.  This is a terrific and unusual thriller and I am thankful I have discovered this author.  Happy to say I am a fan and will be buying his other 4 novels.  This is a must read, after reading Blood Safari has left me yearning for more and entertained.

Claire Conover is a social worker for the state of Alabama. Claire is devoted to helping children have better lives and assisting their parents – if deserving – to also have a better life and keep their children. Claire has a 3 year old client who is found dead in his Mothers kitchen. Micheal-dead of an overdose at 3 years old. While all the evidence points to Ashley, Michaels Mother, Claire knows in her heart that Ashley has changed and that she would never bring harm to her child. Claire becomes the detective in this story, she delves into Ashleys life, finding more than she bargained for when her life is in danger. Many turns in this story, it is very fast paced and action packed. I recommend this read to anyone. I give this book 5 huge stars.

This story line is so many times a true story and it saddens me to know that their are children in this world that suffer only because their parents are strung out on drugs, or a Mother in fear of leaving her abusive husband, or in this case a parent whose past ends costing them their childs life, their childs future, their heart.

Face of Betrayal A Triple Threat Novel
    By: Lis Wiehl

WOW, I had heard all the hype and talk about this one and from the very beginning the author draws you in and I could not put it down.  It took me all of 2 days to finish this great read.  I would put it down to go to bed and would pick it back up thinking I would read just one more chapter, then another and another.  The ending is thrilling, and will shock you to the core, the characters are so realistic and as you read you feel as if you know these women. The suspense and twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat. This book will rock your world. A MUST READ~!
